Repertoire

The repertoire list is quite extensive. Consider it a cafeteria menu from which you are able to choose the selections that best suit your needs and study goals. We believe you are the best judge of what you need to study so we invite you to create your own personal program of study.

Choose the music you want to study.

You will receive a repertoire preference sheet that will instruct you to select the repertoire you would like to study during the 2010 Advanced Conducting Academy. You will list up to 8 different repertoire selections depending on whether you choose to work on orchestral or concerto literature during week 1. Conductors selecting the concerto option will work only on the concerto(s) of their choice for the entire first week. You may decide to work on one or more of your repertoire selections in multiple sessions.

The faculty will choose your Academy repertoire from the pieces on your list. A personal repertoire and daily schedule will be emailed to you by May 7, 2010. Your week 1 repertoire (either concerto or orchestral) will be with the Classical era orchestra, and you will conduct the large orchestra repertoire during the second week.
